The impact of our choices on the environment

Everyone on this earth has a different set of believes and that leads them to make different choices in life and that's ok (well except for the situations that you wind up doing something horrendous). It's a lot of times what makes us different and unique. However, even with keeping that in mind, we need to have a full understanding of the consequences of our choice.

I watched a documentary this past weekend called Cowspiracy and boy was it eye opening. I am not sure where your stand is on eating animals and whatever it is, I respect it. It's a personal choice. But the amount of meat and dairy consumed around the world is literally killing this planet. Cars, pollution, over using water etc. can't touch the amount of damage that factory farming is doing. We don't have another planet for the time being so people need to remember that. You can either make choices so that future generation can either struggle to live on a planet that is crumbling or be able to live and enjoy this world while they walk on it.

Am I saying everyone should give up animals? No, but everyone could afford to cut down on their consumption. We could also choose to get meat that is local (yay for supporting the local farmers) to cut the destruction done to the rain forest and the pollution from transporting it. Reality is factory farmed meat (or fish) isn't all that great for you anyways compared to pasture raised, grass fed, meat.

Watch the documentary and think about it. This very earth depends on it.
